Data of interest
Founded in 1974, it participated in festivals for the first time in 1975. They take their name from the ancient Almogávars who fought alongside the Conquering King.
The design of the dress is original by Almogávar José M. Reig Valls and has undergone very few modifications that should rather be called improvements. It consists of a short-sleeved red velvet tunic that is finished with black ends. On their chest they wear an eagle with the four bars of the crown of Aragon, a leather belt and a black velvet cloak with gold trim and white lining, boots, leather armbands and a helmet with feathers.
The second suit was changed in 1985, replacing it with a design by Jordi Arrué, also from Almogávar, respecting the beige and brown colors and incorporating the fleur-de-lis and the cape.
The Palomar band has accompanied the Almogàvers since its founding in 1974.
