The Regional Ministry awards the fourth prize to the Festeros Society.

The Department of Education, Research, Culture and Sport of the Generalitat Valenciana has awarded the Society of Ontinyent Festeros and specifically in the book of festivals 2019 the fourth prize for best publication in the field of festive of the Valencian Community. This recognition also means a prize of 3,500 euros.

This competition opened by the Ministry evaluated criteria such as the quality of editing, presentation and design, linguistic adequacy, the use of inclusive language, originality, literary content and also the dissemination of the book. The call was made in early 2019 and, once the Society of Festeros published his book last June, was sent to the Ministry to present it. On 12 December, the Directorate General of the Ministry informed the Festeros Society of the award of this fourth prize.

The Society of Festeros, once published the book of 2019, sent a hundred copies to different institutions and associations throughout Spain. Among the shipments, one went to the Ministry to apply for the contest that has now had its award. It is necessary to remember that the Society of Festeros advanced the publication of the book of celebrations in the month of June –
This was usually done in July – in order to gain time to spread the word about the festival, which has now been reflected in this recognition.

This year, in addition, we bet precisely for a layout that gave a fresher and younger air to the publication of the Festivities of Ontinyent. It is a recognition that shows that the work we have done well and that has its reward, not so much for the economic amount, but for being a fourth prize that recognizes it “.
